Kid Casanova - Kid Casanova

Mixing hard 70’s influences with 60’s harmonies, Kid Casanova takes some serious risks within the structure of some of the tightest rock/pop songs written in the past few years.

The United States Census Bureau, Department of Statistics, reports that there are six pop/rock bands for every square mile of US turf. At OZ Beat, we believe it. We have listened to at least half of them the past few months. Some were good; some were The Killers. Kid Casanova is our featured band pick because, unlike so many of the others, we keep listening to them month after month. Their songs grab you immediately and then reveal much more with repeated listening. Mixing hard 70’s influences with 60’s harmonies, Kid Casanova takes some serious risks within the structure of some very tight rock/pop songs. The band pushes forward without fear of what the current trend is or where the next trend might lead. They are not The Bravery! At the same time, they are making music that any A&R geek would glom onto if he/she only had a brain and wasn’t chasing for the next Franz Ferdinand. Kid Casanova is musical proof that most record labels don’t deserve the oxygen in our balls.

Listen to this band; you will understand why we think Kid Casanova makes MUSIC THAT MATTERS.
